The Arts Family (TAF) London, in collaboration with 079|STORIES, Ahmedabad, proudly presented Con/temporality: Contemporary Aesthetics in Our Times, a compelling group exhibition celebrating the dynamic spirit of contemporary artistic practices in South Asia.

This prestigious showcase featured artists shortlisted for the TAF Emerging Artist Award – South Asia 2023, including three finalists selected from a highly competitive pool of over 1,000 applicants worldwide. These artists embody the evolving aesthetics and diverse perspectives shaping contemporary South Asian art today.

Exploring Contemporary Narratives

Con/temporality brought together an eclectic mix of artistic expressions across various forms, mediums, and dimensions. Participating artists delved into thought-provoking themes, such as:

• Transmigration – Reflecting on movement, displacement, and evolving identities.
• Human-Ecosystem Interaction – Examining our relationship with nature and the environment.
• Regional Iconographies – Reinterpreting cultural and historical symbols in a modern context.

From sculptural interventions crafted with indigenous materials to deeply introspective inquiries into selfhood and socio-political realities, the exhibition offered a rich and immersive experience for art enthusiasts.
